Hidden in the heart of Valdichiana, in the surroundings of Cortona, one of the most beautiful art towns in Tuscany, lies a real treasure.
The delicate hospitality of the old farmhouses, where farming tradition and familiar atmospheres surround the guest, makes this oasis of peace an enchanting place for those who love genuine flavours, intense fragrances and feelings.
Surrounded by golden sunflower- and cornfields, in placid and panoramic position, this evoking farmhouse was recently renovated and now can host up to 24 people.
Tuscan hills, all around, with their gentle curves and their bright colours, offer their landscapes for us to contemplate. Country fragrances and the slow rhythms, far from the frenzy of the city, will win your love. The surroundings are tipically rural, framed by towns rich in history, wine, food and culture, such as the Etruscan town of Cortona, the Mediaval hamlets of Castiglion F.no and Lucignano, the Castle of Montecchio Vesponi.
From here one can organise one-day trips to Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, Siena, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, San Gimignano, Volterra, Chianti and also Umbria with Assisi (San Francesco birthplace), Spello, Orvieto and Perugia.
These art cities, Medieval villages, museums, parishes, catherdals, monasteries, wineries, festivals, costume parades, antique markets, jazz festivals, the Strade del Vino, are common destinations for the numerous tourists all the year long, thanks to their traditional Tuscan hospitality.
The old farmhouse has been turned into several apartments and dependances furnished respecting the Tuscan tradition and provided with all the comforts, ideal for families, couples and groups of friends.
The outer space is composed of a large garden and a wide swimming pool equipped with sunbeds, beach chairs and sun umbrellas at guests' exclusive disposal and of a big wooden gazebo that offers cool and shady areas.
On the ground floor there is a big dining hall usually shared, ideal for parties, with big fireplace and long table.
Ping pong, mountain bikes, trekking equipment, volleyball and five-a-side football field at guests' disposal.
