Casa del Sole is a small country house situated at the top of a hill with panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. From the loggia, you can enjoy a stunning view of Gargonza Castle. The property is surrounded by olive groves, trees and a terraced garden with spacious lawns. Although secluded, it is only a twenty minute walk, an eight minute bike ride or a few minutes drive to the characteristic hill town of Monte San Savino. The style of the house could be described as "peasant chic", with subtle earthen colors used on walls and terracotta floors throughout. Attractive cotton and linen fabrics from the Busatti weaving mills of Anghiari complement the antique furnishings and interesting wrought iron pieces. The kitchen and bathrooms, although maintaining the "rustic" feeling, include modern touches such as stainless steel and Cararra marble counter tops. The ground floor includes an entrance hall, a single bedroom with en suite bathroom, a study (used as single bedroom if necessary), a bathroom with shower, a living room with fireplace and a kitchen that leads into the portico which is fully equipped for outdoor dinners. On the upper level, there is a central living room with a library/reading area and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a large queen size bed and en suite bathroom with shower. The other bedroom has a king size bed or two single beds as required, and en suite bathroom with tub. The first floor has an independent entrance thanks to a stone staircase which leads out to the south garden. The property offers numerous comforts: central heating, telephone, CD player with classical music CDs and a satellite TV with access to CNN and BBC. Casa del Sole has a spectacular pool (6.5m x 14.5m) amidst the olive groves, with cascading water on two sides. Guests are required to use Piera's maid service a minimum of three hours per day at the local hourly rate. She will be glad to do the cleaning service and on request she could prepare breakfast and dinner for you. Gino, the gardener, looks after the lawns, olive groves and grounds. His service is included with the rental. Your holiday at "Casa del Sole" will be unforgettable because this area is synonymous with art, culture and gastronomy, with many traditional, family-run trattorias and excellent restaurants.

Personal laundry and ironing: € 9 per hour.
Italian cell phone: There will be a credit of approx. € 25 at start of your stay. This is the cheapest and easiest way to make local phone calls in Italy or Europe. Or you may give this number to your contacts in USA to receive calls. A reading will be taken upon arrival and departure. You will pay only for credit used. Internet service: If guests bring their own PC we can provide an Internet key with rechargeable time; € 15 for max. 40 hours of Internet or € 25 for up to 100 hours per week. Please request this service in advance, since it takes 48 hours to activate the key.
100 kilowatts/wk electricity included: should guests cousume more than 100kw, additional will be calculated at € 0,24/kw. If they consume less they will receive a bottle of olive oil as a gift.
Central heating during cold periods: € 200/wk. Not needed from May to October.
Firewood: you can have it from the stack where you can find oak wood ideal for fabolous barbeques.
