Il Lauro is a beautiful country house which enjoys a wonderful hilly position, a few minutes from the medieval town Cortona. This little stone house is furnished according to the typical Tuscan style, ideal for those who wish to spend a vacation in the name of tradition. The apartment is made up of a cosy sitting room with fireplace, dining area, fully fitted kitchen, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with ensuite bathroom. It's the fully furnished and painstakingly-kept garden which will make your vacation at Il Lauro unforgettable: from here you will enjoy a great view of the whole valley, dip into the magical peace of the Tuscan countryside. Pool to be shared with the guests at Il Ciliegio only. The old wood-burning oven can be used by the guests to prepare a delicious pizza following the recipe of the Italian tradition. There are a number of walks you can explore including the old Roman road that takes you to Cortona in 40 minutes.

My mother, Aunt and I went to Italy for 3 weeks in September 2006. For the first 2 weeks of our vacation we stayed at Col di Leccio - Il Lauro.
We cannot say enough good things about this property, every place you looked, from the grounds to the views were spectacular.
It was the first time ever renting something over the internet and we could not have been happier with the outcome.
I would recommend both Terretrusche to anyone as well as the specific property, Col di Leccio - Il Lauro.
