The 18 hole Championship Golf Course is situated in central Umbria only 20 minutes north of Perugia. The course is dominated by the medieval castle and is an unrivaled experience for both the professional and amateur golfer alike. The sensitive and interesting design of Trent Jones is complemented by the intense natural beauty of the area, with unspoiled far reaching views, abundant woodland and natural flora and the spectacular medieval and typical Umbrian architecture both inside and around the golf course. Besides the course you will also find a well equipped Pro shop, a practice driving range and putting green, as well as the charming Club House & Bar, the authentic restaurant serving local Umbrian cuisine. The food and beverage facilities are also open to public at night, perfect for an authentic Umbrian meal or a handmade pizza cooked in a traditional wood oven which is hundreds of years old. The perfect end to a perfect day. The Golf school is headed by the resident professional, who utilises all modern golf teaching methods. He has an impressive knowledge and experience of golf having also played in the Junior Italian squad.

Accommodation We also have a number of luxury villas available for rental, either for the week or weekend. The villas are flexible to accommodate either large or intimate groups of guests, with tranquility and fantastic views assured. All the accommodation is located within a few minutes of the facilities of Club. For the non-golfers there are a myriad of alternatives available from shopping in the beautiful towns and cities nearby, visiting the many local attractions or relaxing in the private gardens and by swimming pool available at each villa.

The Golf Club: The 18-hole Golf Course is situated in the 600 hectare estate in the heart of Umbria. It is considered by many who have played it to be one of the most interesting and spectacular golf courses in Italy. The layout features dramatic cliff-lined fairways, beautiful lakes, and stunning views of the medieval castle and surrounding countryside, giving golfers 18 holes of pure pleasure. This unforgettable golfing experience gives plenty of change in elevation and visual impact. Each hole provides a new and exciting challenge, all with a stunning natural backdrop of the Umbrian countryside. The clever design makes this an enjoyable experience for both the low and high handicap golfer. Each will leave the 18th hole having felt challenged, uplifted by the beauty and determined to return to tackle Antognolla again. The designer puts a premium on long straight drives, and the large undulating greens means accurate approach shots will be rewarded. Fairway bunkers are well positioned to make one consider club choice from the tees and wayward approach shots can quickly be swallowed by the large deep green side bunkers to challenge your sand play. At first appearance the course seems open and indefensible however as soon as you step onto the 1st tee you understand the masterpiece that is. Any match arriving at the signature 18th hole will still have all to play for. This risk and reward hole means those who risk a tight drive close to the lake will have a shorter approach to the dangerous green and a potential victory.

The Driving range and practice putting green are situated next to the clubhouse and pro shop. They enjoy superb views towards the Castle and are a great location for practice and warm up before the game. It is opened 7 days a week from 9am to 8 pm.

This outdoor driving range includes: - practice range of approximately 250 metres; - numerous practice teeing maps with different perspectives; - a covered teaching bay - target green and distance markers. - large undulating chipping and putting green

Services and Facilities The Pro shop offers an extensive range of carefully selected golf clothing and gifts. Many items are sourced locally and unique. In addition the pro shop offers club rentals and all the basic golf essentials required for a visiting player. The men's and ladies changing facilities are located in a beautifully restored building near the pro shop and include showering facilities. These are available for the use of visiting golfers and guests as is the large open air swimming pool and sun loungers.

The clubhouse, with its charming bar and restaurant, is the perfect place to relax after a round of golf. The chefs create original, as well as centuries-old local Umbrian recipes using the finest fresh ingredients of the Estate. This also includes handmade pizza cooked in the authentic wood pizza oven that has been in use for hundreds of years.
