Description
La Colonica is a lovely stone farmhouse located in the heart of Umbria countryside, in the fertile valley surrounding the Trasimeno Lake.
Its typical square base denotes that it was built at the end of the 18th century according to the style characterising the Tuscan farmhouses, that you can still see in the area of the Valdichiana reaching the feet of Cortona.
The house is divided in two floors, both very characteristic and rich in authentic details and features.
On the ground floor there is a large living room with an elegant wooden table and refined sofas set in front of the old fireplace. The furnishings are enhanced by the decorated ceilings, the terracotta floors and stylish details. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge, kitchenette and washing machine. Sleeping area is composed of 4 double bedrooms, each with private bathroom with shower box.
On the first floor guests will find a welcoming and bright living room with comfortable sofas to relax in front of the fireplace. The typical comfort of country spaces is melted to the refined elegance characterising the whole estate. Sleeping area is composed of 2 double bedrooms, 2 twins and 2 bathrooms, 1 with shower and the other with tub.
An additional double bedroom is located in the annex which is completed by a bathroom and a kitchenette.
In this genuine atmosphere guests will have the chance to spend a totally relaxing holiday, breathe the life of the farmhouse where cereals, vegetables, beet sugar are cultivated and enjoy unique agrestic landscapes.
The garden hosts the large swimming pool at guests' exclusive disposal, equipped with sun chairs, sun beds and umbrellas.
The panoramic and flat postion is ideal to organise horseback, biking or walking excursions.
A stay at La Colonica will be a journey that will allow you to discover Umbria, the green heart of Italy, rich in history and monuments. Each season offers folkloristic events and country festivals worthy to be lived and great food to taste. The nearest village is about 6 km far. It is also possible to enjoy views of the Trasimeno Lake, the Chiusi and Montepulciano Lakes and the Valdichiana, which are not very far.
