Description
In the silence of nature, in a panoramic position (336 metres above sea level) immersed between olive groves and age-old oak woods, lies the farmholiday Il Capanno. Once upon a time an old stone farmhouse, today Il Capanno has been restored and equipped with all the modern comforts while keeping its rustic features. The farmhouse is made up of 4 large apartments each with sleeping accommodation for 4 to 6 people, with a total of 20 sleeps. The farmhouse has double or twin bedrooms, and each apartament is composed of living area, a well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The ground floor apartments have access for disabled people. The complex has a swimming pool and also a large fenced garden with garden furniture and barbeques. The beautiful farmhouse is part of a farm which produces organic food and covers 100 hectares. It produces extra virgin olive oil and excellent quality wine. In addition, you can taste seasonal fruits cultivated on the farm such as cherries, pears, apples, plums, apricots, walnuts, figs, grapes, chestnuts and fruits of the forest. It is an ideal holiday for those who want to discover the flavours of the Tuscan countryside, but also for those who want to find out about Tuscan traditions and spend unforgettable days in a familiar and warm atmosphere. In the splendid surrounding area rich in pathways, guests can go trekking, mountain biking and horse riding (there are stables about 7 km away). From the farmhouse it is easy to reach the most beautiful cities of art in Tuscany and Umbria. On request, there are organised tours, cooking, painting and Italian courses and it is also possible to take part in the grape and olive harvests.
Adjacent to the main house there is a wide and bright common living area with fireplace.
